| Dharma Foundation is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization. One of the major programs, which Dharma focuses on in Iowa, is that of raising and administering funds to help students with financial need who wish to attend a Consciousness-Based school. Maharishi School is the 1st Consciousness-Based school, which is located in Fairfield, Iowa. | Funds are raised by direct appeal as well as through a series of ongoing, parent-run fundraising activities and events. All families enrolled in the Dharma Foundation's scholarship program help organize these events and support the Foundation's general fundraising efforts. |
